Andrew Rector is a Play by Play Broadcaster currently based in Los Angeles. He works for UCLA, Pepperdine University, CSUN, Game On Entertainment, and NFHS Network among others.

He lives with his wife, Meg, in Simi Valley, California. Andrew was born and raised in North Carolina where he attended UNC-Chapel Hill, graduating in 2009 with a BA in Communications-Media Production and a minor in History. In 2008, Andrew got his start in sports production, working for the Carolina Mudcats during the baseball season. He also started working in the Athletics Department in New Media at UNC, continuing there for 5 years.

In 2012 he moved to Southern California where he has worked behind the camera for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Tennis Channel, Van Wagner Sports Entertainment, Sports Media Technologies, FOX, CBS, and many others.

SInce 2020, Andrew has been doing play by play across Southern California along with doing remote broadcasts of Texas high school sports. You can hear him regularly on ESPN+ broadcasting CSUN athletics as well as streaming broadcasts for Pepperdine, UCLA, and others.

Andrew lives with his wife, Meg, in Simi Valley, California with their son and pooch. They enjoy traveling, podcasting, and entertaining together. In his free time, Andrew loves playing golf, softball, performing standup comedy, and playing board games. He also likes to get back to NC and get out on the lake with his family and friends.
